Technisch Inkoper - Integrated Solutions

Functie informatie:
The Sr. Buyer Integrated Solutions is part of the Procurement team and is the central procurement point of contact for the Integrated Solutions projects. It is a new role that takes ownership of all procurement activities within the Integrated Solutions projects and makes sure, together with the other disciplines in the project team, that the projects are realized against required specifications, in time and within budget.
The Sr. Buyer Integrated Solutions reports to the Procurement Manager and works in close cooperation with the Project Buyers, SQA and Sales, Project Specialist, Project Engineering and Quality within the project team.
This is a position in which you deal with a wide variety of categories operationally as well as tactically.
Furthermore, you will be working on large high value and complex projects with, especially in the quotation phase, many unclear factors. So to be successful in this role, you will need to be able to deal with these uncertainties while keeping a helicopter view. Applicants with a self-starter/can-do mentality who are able to turn the above into a structured process are more likely to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities
  • Performing market research in order to select (in cooperation with the team) potential project suppliers for budget or firm quotes;
  • Placing RFQ’s at selected suppliers (if necessary based on tender process);
  • Looking after a timely receipt of the quotes and manages revisions;
  • Judges and compares the quotes before applying these in the project;
  • Based on the quotes, keeping track of the procurement budget within the project;
  • Managing potential risks (QLTC);
  • Submitting the right price and further conditions (T&C’s, lead times, etc) within the set time to the sales team for the customer quote;
  • Making sure a timely release of the final specs is done;
  • Negotiating with the selected suppliers and creation of a contract after the customer has confirmed the purchase;
  • Placing the purchase order and perform order management for a timely delivery or execution for regular and known items submitting the project supplier quotation data to the responsible Project Buyer for contracting and ordering;
  • Can pick up other Category Lead or Project Buying work in case of lower project workload (One Procurement team).

Basis voor succes:
What are we looking for?
  • A completed technical college degree preferably in mechanical engineering.
  • A completed NEVI 2 or comparable procurement training.
  • At least 5 years relevant procurement experience, preferably within a manufacturing company and/or project environment.
  • Experience in working in cross-functional teams with internal and external members.
  • A thorough knowledge of the English language spoken and written. German knowledge is a preference.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle
  • Willingness to travel regularly (worldwide)
  • Extensive experience with MS- Office and ERP-systems; Oracle is a preference
