For the European ICT department of VTech, we are searching for an:

Application Manager (Applicatiebeheerder)

It’s a fulltime long-term position located in Weert (NL).

VTech is a dynamic company, always improving themselves, quality and sustainability are key.
Together with another colleagues you will be responsible for the Application management Europe. You also will have an advising and supporting role towards System & Network Management, in meaning of supporting and providing information according to need of Applications on Servers, Network, Infrastructures, LAN, WAN and Cloud.

In this position you will report to the ICT Manager Europe.

Purpose of the function
  • The Application Manager is within the organization responsible for maintaining and developing all Applications;
  • Provide continuous 24/7 availability of the Business applications for Europe;
  • Managing and maintaining the Application tickets;
  • Distribution of the necessary applications for all European Offices;
  • Responsible for Application security;
  • Develop and maintain Interfaces and Databases;
  • The Application Manager is responsible for maintaining the applications and translation of the Business requirements into the Applications;
  • Advise toward the process owners and key-users with selection of applications. Installation and set-up. Keeping the overview in meanings of integration with other applications. Advice and support with functional change management to prevent changes that can harm the application stability, application technical environment and uptime;
  • Support and maintain all the regionally used applications.
  • Initiate, co-ordinate and collaborate Application (ICT) projects on a global and a regional level for continuous and structural improvement of the ERP and all other applications;
  • Initiate and maintain contacts with Suppliers for Implementations, projects, support and consultancy, Application technical and Business oriented;
  • Implement, maintain and improve on Applications, both regional and global;
  • Check invoices and requisitions, write Application Business cases, document ICT procedures, document ICT work instructions, advise in and document ICT policies;
  • Guard, implement and improve on Business processes in a timely manner;
  • Monitoring on Application processes and take appropriate actions;
  • Provide management information regarding Application (ICT) projects, incidents, up-/ downtime, of processes, KPI;
  • Provide input on incidents, up-/ downtime, Tickets and basic Application processes;
  • Provide first/ second line support, towards all users in the EU.
  • Minimum HBO (Bachelor) ICT or equivalent working and thinking level;
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in an Application environment;
  • Experience with projects is a pre;
  • Good knowledge of Dutch (speaking and writing) and English (speaking and writing). Other languages like German, French, and Spanish are a pre;
  • Experience with Enterprise Business Systems, Oracle and/or APEX is a pre;
  • Experience with programming, PLSQL and databases is a pre;
  • Able to work in an international team and willing to travel within Europe when required (about 4 times a year);
  • Competences: communication and social skills, commitment, loyal, drive, team worker, planning and organizing, service minded, flexible, integer, result driven, analytic, structure.
