The function
Due to the strong growth of the company, we are looking for a

ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT (M/F)

German and French market

NL Office; Hoensbroek or DE Office; Bonn


This is a rewarding role wherein you will assist the Finance Department in managing the billing function for a number of international legal entities. The role is primarily within in the Blue Tree Systems team, but will also require some assistance to the wider ORBCOMM Europe finance function. Reporting into Blue Tree System’s Financial Controller and local management, you will have support from a wider accounting team and benefit from a close working relationship with other key functions in the organisation. A significant requirement for this role is to manage billing to German, French and other European customers, and to deal with queries these customers have. Therefore, excellent German & French language skills are essential, together with highly competent English skills.

Main Tasks
  • Ownership of the end to end customer billing process and the Accounts Receivable ledger for a number of European customers, in particular for the DACH & French regions.
  • Diligently Implementing company policies and controls
  • Dealing with any customer queries professionally and without delays
  • Credit Control / AR management, reviewing and resolution of aging AR balances, managing the dunning and collections processes
  • Assisting the accounts payable department, by entering and reconciling incoming supplier invoices, reviewing supplier balances & payment demands, informing the Account Payable department of payments due to suppliers, issuing remittances to suppliers
  • Reviewing company credit card payments and employee expenses to ensure all in line with company policy
  • Assisting with various accounting related projects and other ad hoc duties as identified by your manager
  • Providing backup/cover for colleagues as needed

Job requirements:
  • Accounting Qualification/Part Qualified/Accounting Technician/similar with 5 year’s post qualification experience, within a multi-currency, multi entity organisation
  • Fluent German language skills essential, High competency of English essential,
    High competency of French preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and other MS office products
  • Experience with an ERP system (SAP Business one, JDE)
